Welcoming Celina Mukarker to Benson Oak Ventures

Meet our Head of Community

Yoni and I are thrilled to welcome Celina Mukarker to our team as Investment Associate & Head of Community. Celina will play a vital role in supporting investment processes, assisting our portfolio companies, and serving as head of the Community.

Benson Oak Ventures invests in early-stage B2C and Digital SMB and all things related to the creator economy via Web3. We have labeled this wave of the future: 'passionware'. 

Our B2C and Digital SMB investments have included category leaders AVG, Promo.com, and crypto wallet ZenGo.  Our most recent fund - BOV 2022 - has extended our thesis to include early stage Web3 platforms where "everyone is a business", including early-stage investments in Talis Protocol, the first NFT DAO marketplace on Terra and Colu, enabling Crypto for Cities.

Our approach pairs a high-conviction model with hands-on value-add support for our founders, leveraging 20 years of investing and operational experience in B2C and Digital SMB — an ideal skill-set for the new world of Web3  

As we have written about extensively in our Digital Oak blog, Community drives Web3 through active participation where everyone is an owner.

As we look to scale our impact in the space and focus on Web3 Passionware investments, Celina brings an experience, skill-set, and passion that dovetails with the Benson Oak strategy and approach.

Prior to joining Benson Oak, Celina managed the Startup Accelerator at MEET in partnership with MIT focused on startup building with a mission around Palestinian and Israeli diversity. She led multiple bottom-up community-building processes, including partnerships with global brands. 

As part of the investment team at Benson Oak Ventures, Celina will play a key role in supporting the fund's investment processes along with focusing on understanding and building a community around Web3.
